House Bill 338 was passed by the 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013 (now codified
at Texas Occupations Code sections 2308.453 and 2308.455). Part of the bill amended
the Texas Occupations Code to require a hearing relating to a towed motor vehicle
to be in any justice court in the county, rather than the precinct, from which a
vehicle was towed.
Where to Request a Court Hearing on a Towed Motor Vehicle
If you would like to request a court hearing to determine whether probable cause
existed to tow a motor vehicle, contact any justice court in the county from which
the vehicle was towed. [See Section 2308.453 of the Texas Occupations Code.]
